Come rain or shine we’re looking forward to running the Dunedin Craft Beer & Food Festival at the Forsyth Barr Stadium once again! Dunedin make sure you save the date - October 4th, 2014.
We’ve listened to what you had to say and in 2014 you can look forward to a couple of key improvements:
- Say goodbye to token issues and queues thanks to electronic payment wristbands
- You wanted more space and you’ve got it; we’re moving onto the pitch for more family friendly picnic space
As shown in 2013, we will be providing a platform upon which craft brewers can come together under one roof to showcase their products alongside a selection of the finest local food backed up by top Kiwi music. Festival goers will have the opportunity to learn about the production techniques used by their favourite craft breweries as well as being able to try a diverse range of gourmet foods to match. Over 100 unique beverages will be showcased on the day from breweries around the country.

Say goodbye to those annoying queues just to get tokens that end up filling your pockets and pulling down your pants! No one needs to see your builders crack – this year thanks to your feedback and cutting edge technology, you won’t have to show it off. Keep your dignity and remove the waiting around thanks to our Beer Festival first – AWOP wristband payment system – a small chip based on your festival wristband that makes paying and topping up a charm.
It’s EASY and no stress, plus you can add on $25 or $50 to your ticket price so you’ll get a preloaded wristband full of money when you come through the gates.
All it takes to top up is a SWIPE of your bank card and a SWISH of your wristband at our top up stations. Then when you go to pay for your lovely beers and kai it’s just a swipe at the stall and you’re all paid up – plus the stalls can tell you your balance so you know you won’t get caught short!
Note: Your wrist band will be picked up at the gates on the day along with your official festival cup! All you need to do is turn up with your ticket and we’ll sort you out as you enter the festival.
If you make delicious drinks or scrumptious food and are interested in being a part of this year’s festival, we want to hear from you! Applications to be a stallholder at the 2014 Dunedin Craft Beer and Food Festival close on the 1st of August
