Central Otago Pinot Noir MasterClass with Jody Pagey (Mt Michael Winemaker)

Central Otago is the Southern-most grape-growing region in New Zealand. The region’s vineyards are located east of the resort town of Queenstown and include the small towns of Wanaka, Cromwell and Alexandra. The region is essentially split into 4 main sub regions, Gibbston, Wanaka, Alexandra and Cromwell. In this master class wine maker Jody Pagey from Mt Michael will talk to you about the different regions, diversity and varietals that Central Otago produces. We will focus on Pinot Noir where you will get to taste different Pinot’s from each sub region. This seminar will not disappoint, and will leave you wanting to know more.

Homebrew 101 with Harvey Kane

2017’s Homebrew Competition winner and avid homebrewer, Harvey Kane, will take you on a journey across all things homebrew. Get the best start possible with your homebrewing by learning about sanitation and temperature control – arguably THE difference between undrinkable and ‘pretty decent’ beer. We’ll look at reliable cleaning processes and how to keep brews at a stable temperature in an Otago summertime – all on the cheap. Aimed at new brewers or those thinking of giving it a go.

From Dram to Dram – Experience & Celebrate Single Malt Whiskey with Glenfiddich.

Join Tom Fastier, the Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador to NZ, for a mini Single Malt masterclass. Tom will share some light-hearted yarns imparting his knowledge and passion for the drink often referred to as the ‘Drink of Life’.

Guiding us through four aged and special drams, we will cover the 101’s of Whisky, while touching on a few stories of the craftsmen and women of Glenfiddich’s distillery. Come Experience Learn and celebrate the finest single Malt whiskies.
